This month is usually the best for French people to go skiing during a week, or a week end. We all like to keep some memories of those holidays, and some people are having better ideas than others. For example, Yéti Photo, a new photograph between Gap and Briançon, is offering its customers the ability to shoot their video directly while skiing! It's quite impressive, and it surely is something to share with friends and family!
Well, let's be honest, February is a great month!
Although for me, February 2011 will be remembered as one of the most hard-working month since I am a translator. I usually am happy about getting more translation projects than expected, but this time I thought I would never make it for everyone. I guess that's the price of being successful and offering both quality and best rates while delivering everything on time!
How did that happen?
One of my big customers sent me work that was planned to last a month, while I was ready to take another big videogame project when the customer was ready to send it in. That was a full 5-and-something days of work per week, which was really nice. What I didn't expect was to get two other translation projects at the same time, with more than 50k words! I always try to get my customers quality translations that's why I decided to take the job: long term relationships are something I aim, and letting them down to find another translator without knowing how good (s)he is beforehand would have been a real problem for me.
So there I was, translating 7 days a week for the full month. Now that the rush is over, translation projects are getting within the usual flow, and I can finally enjoy some deserved week ends with my family, and who knows, maybe plan some week end to the Alps?
