Total War: Shogun 2 DLC details

Jaoul Translations is proud to annonce its cooperation with SEGA to translate the details of the newly announced Total War: Shogun 2 DLC.

You can see our translation on the French Steam Store!

Master the art of war to become the undisputed ruler of medieval Japan! In 2000, the Creative Assembly re-invented the strategy genre with Shogun: Total War, an unprecedented blend of 3D real-time battles and turn-based management game and the first offering in the multi-award winning series. With over 7 million units sold and universal acclaim from the press and community, Total War has consistently been at the cutting edge of the genre and is today one of the most successful PC franchises of all time.

Rise of The Samurai is a brand new, independent campaign for Total War: SHOGUN 2. Set 400 years before the dramatic civil war depicted in SHOGUN 2, the “Rise of The Samurai” campaign is based on the Gempei War, a conflict between six legendary clans of the Taira, Minamoto and Fujiwara families. It culminated in the first Shogunate, and the rise of the Samurai as the ruling class. Play a brand new and independent campaign for SHOGUN 2 set in 12th century Japan. The Rise of The Samurai campaign can be played in single-player mode as well as multiplayer versus or co-op modes.

3 new families divided into 6 playable clans Each clan has its own unique set of traits, giving it a distinctive feel and play-style. 16 new land units spread across swordsmen, spearmen, archers, and cavalry. These include: Foot Samurai – Masters of bow and sword, these Samurai are deadly at range or in melee. They may not be the most numerous units, but they are perhaps the most effective. Also protected by distinctive Gempei-period armour which gives excellent protection at range and in melee. Sword Attendants – Armed with huge two-handed swords, these fearsome warriors can carve a bloody path in melee. 4 new Hero units – the Naginata Warrior Monk Hero, the Tetsubo Warrior Monk Hero, the Mounted Samurai Hero and the Onna Bushi Heroine Onna Bushi Heroine – Armed with Naginata and bow, these female Samurai are versatile cavalry units who excel in melee. Do not doubt the courage of a woman… Tetsubo Warrior Monk Hero – armed with iron-studded clubs, these Monks are devastating in melee as they bash their way through their foes. 10 new naval units and 3 new naval special abilities (“Banzai!”, “Whistling Arrows” and “Rally”) 4 new agent types with their own unique skill trees: The Shirabyoshi uses seduction to convince her target to join her family’s cause, and to distract enemy armies. She is also able to entertain the nobles of friendly towns in order to boost their growth and entertain friendly generals in the field, which increases their loyalty to the family and counteracts the efforts of enemy agents attempting to bribe or seduce them into changing sides. The Junsatsushi can request the allegiance of neutral and enemy castle towns, along with any forces garrisoned there. He ensures loyalty and obedience from friendly generals, increases income by preventing corruption, and keeps your castle towns and armies safe from enemy subterfuge when stationed there. He can also pay off rival agents. The Monomi acts as an assassin, spy, saboteur and scout. He can establish spy networks within your castle towns, which increases the chances of discovering any rival agents and armies that may be hiding within a province. The Sou can inspire a friendly army or pacify an angry populace with his enlightened rhetoric. Likewise, he can demoralise an enemy force, reduce the chances of successful bribery, indoctrinate enemy agents and cause them to retire, or incite an enemy population to revolt. New historical scenario – the Battle of Anegawa (1570)

RAGE is out today! DELETE

Jaoul Translations is proud to annonce its cooperation with Bethesda Softworks to translate RAGE the game, coming out in stores today in Europe.

The asteroid strikes on August 23, 2038, and the few pockets of survivors are forced to begin a new civilization.

The world is populated by human survivors of the impact, who have come together to form settlements around oases and other practical or habitable locations, including racetracks. These fragile homes are diligently defended by the inhabitants against bandits and mutants, which are divided into various gangs and organizations of their own.

You've been preserved inside an underground shelter called an Ark. The Arks are the direct result of the Eden Project, a massive international undertaking in which hundreds of Arks (cryogenic pods) were sealed under the surface of the Earth with twelve people inside each. Each passenger possessed a special ability or trait that, combined with those of the other members, would help them rebuild society. The Eden Project, however, was far less successful than hoped. Your Ark in particular is in sorry shape upon the start of the game - all of the other residents of your Ark are dead, and the equipment of the Ark is destroyed as well, and so you wake up alone and uninformed. With no memory of your identity or objective, you are forced to head for the surface to find sustenance and allies.

Give your website a better ranking with professional translations

SEO managers, webmasters, today, we look at you. You are managing a website and you are desperate with getting on the first 10 Google results? Then let's talk about SEO.

What's this? A new translation agency?

No, not really. As you may know, SEO (for Search Engine Optimization) is something every website manager should worry about. You need to optimize your website so that people can find it on different search engines and read it. But how do you manage your website efficiently in order to gain visibility? Well there are two schools available to you: White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO.

In a nutshell, Black Hat SEO is a deceptive but very efficient way to gain visibility, and any website using it will eventually be banned from search engines at some point, while White Hat SEO is search engine friendly, slightly less effective than the previous method, but will last throughout the entire life of your website, being more effective in the long run.

If you are interested in further information for Black Hat SEO, I'd suggest you google that, as we are not agreeing with these methods, and don't see the point in spamming the web to get ranked.

However, we will talk about how to become a "white hat", and how professional translation services matters for a better visibility.

So how do I get a better positioning?

In order to have a search engine friendly website, here are some of the tools you will need:

a clear and concise encoding; an index web page that loads as fast as possible; META tags filled in (keywords, author, title, ...); and, the most important rule, quality content;

What do I mean by quality content? A simple and short answer is, "a long text related to your website's topic, made by a human, and made for your readers to enjoy and read". To output such texts, you need to really care about what your readers will read. You need to deliver quality documents to them. Not only will your readers come back to your website, but they will also talk about it somewhere else on the web, linking that great article you wrote about structuring game design processes in your videogame blog, creating more traffic for you, and thus, a better web ranking!

Is that all? That seems too easy.

Delivering quality documents to your customers is already a not-so-easy task, and that is only one part of the optimization you can do. However, I'd like to share with you a great tip only professionals know about:

Translate your articles, translate your webpages!

The reason behind translating a whole website is simple: by translating into French and Italian your English website for example, you will duplicate your quality content two more times, earning you a better search position. But beware, as the main search engines (Google, Yahoo!, Altavista, Ask.com, etc.) do have special algorythms to trace back duplicate content, eventually lowering your position. That is why using an automatic translation tool will not make you any good, you need professional translations to make unique articles.

Our translation agency offers website translations, document translations, and more, be sure to give us a shout when launching your project online. We will be happy to work with you so that you can make it to the top!
